Job Summary/Basic Functions
This position serves on the Division of Animal Care Leadership team. The incumbent is responsible for developing and delivering training on all aspects of animal care, safety, and departmental processes. This position will also develop assessment and evaluation tools, which he/she will use to create training plans for staff to aid in their development.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education:Â Bachelor's
Certifications or Licenses Required:Â ALAT Certification,
Number of years required to perform the job:Â 3
Type of experience required to perform the job:Â Experience in a laboratory animal facility.
Substitution:Â Four years of experience in a laboratory animal facility, with at least 2 of the 4 years training employees, may substitute for the Bachelor's Degree. Other relevant teaching/educational experience may substitute for the required experience on a year by year basis. An additional year of experience training employees in laboratory animal facility may substitute for the ALAT certification
