We are currently seeking a Project Manager I to serve at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland (LARC 11).

OVERVIEW: Responsibilities of this position are that of a Project Manager I for SoBran’s animal care contracts.


Primary duties may include the following:

*All employees are expected to perform their duties as assigned, arrive to work at 7:00am and depart at 3:30 pm M-F. You will be required to work on the weekends as scheduled. The weekend hours are from 8:00 am to 12 pm. In addition. you will be expected to work extra hours during an emergency situation or if any unexpected situation arise until work is completed

The function of the Project Manager I is to manage and lead the people assigned to the task in such a way that the work is accomplished in accordance with SOPs, policies and guidelines associated with the expectations of their facilities. They are to serve as the subject matter expert in all areas of the facility. This person is expected to be familiar with the day-to-day activities, personnel and issues within the facilities they manage. We expect the task managers to be forward thinking and create plans to mitigate potential risks within their tasks. The Project Manager I must have strong supervisory skills and be capable of exercising and maintaining complete control of the employees and work performed on the task. The Project Manager I will assist program management in the efficient allocation of the budget, write and maintain reports and develop and maintain an effective relationship with the Government staff. This person will act as a liaison between contract and Government personnel, work with the human resources department in the hiring, disciplining, promoting and termination of personnel
